GFFJ School Uniform & Toiletries Donation – Chris Hani Secondary School

Driven by our commitment to dignity, confidence, and equal opportunity in education, GFFJ believes that every learner should be able to attend school with pride. On 4 May, our team visited Chris Hani Secondary School in Klerksdorp, North West, where we conducted a heartfelt school uniforms and toiletries donation drive for learners in need.

This initiative forms part of our ongoing commitment to uplifting communities by addressing both educational and personal care needs, ensuring that learners are supported in every aspect of their school journey.

Supporting Learners with Dignity and Care

Many learners face significant challenges that go beyond the classroom, including the lack of essential school uniforms and basic toiletries. These challenges can affect not only attendance and performance but also confidence and self-esteem.

Through this outreach, GFFJ provided school uniforms and essential toiletries to learners at Chris Hani Secondary School, helping to ease the burden on families while restoring dignity and confidence to students.

A school uniform promotes equality and belonging, while basic toiletries support personal hygiene and well-being, both of which are essential for a learner’s overall development and daily comfort at school.

Restoring Confidence in the Classroom

For many learners, receiving a full school uniform and hygiene essentials is more than just material support, it is a moment of encouragement and hope.

This initiative allowed learners to feel seen, valued, and supported. It helps create an environment where students can focus on their education without the added pressure of unmet basic needs.

The smiles and appreciation shared during the handover reminded us that even the simplest acts of kindness can have a powerful impact on a young person’s confidence and future aspirations.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Strengthening Schools and Communities

The success of this outreach would not have been possible without the support of the school staff, volunteers, and community members who welcomed and assisted the GFFJ team at Chris Hani Secondary School.

Through our Food & School Hamper Distribution, we remain committed to supporting learners and families with the essentials they need, today and for the future.
